Account Number Format
Want funds deposited or withdrawn directly from your CEFCU account?
Just use CEFCU’s routing number — 271183701 — and your 10-digit account number. Find the correct 10-digit account number format below! You can also find your account number on the home page of your CEFCU On-Line® or Mobile Banking account, or with the Account Letter found under Services.
Your account number is important. You’ll use it to set up direct deposits and automatic transfers, when you visit a Member Center or perform transactions over the phone, and more. It’s important to memorize your account number, and know the correct account number format. Use the guide below to find the correct account number format for your account.

Remember, you can always reference your account number on your CEFCU On-Line or Mobile Banking Home Page. Your account number will be listed under the balance of each individual account (circled in red below) — be sure to include 10-digits without spaces or hyphens.
You can also locate your account number with the Account Letter found under Services (circled in green below).
Just select the account(s) you want to use from the dropdown and click Submit. An account letter will generate for you to download and print.
At this time, payments to a Hybrid Home Equity Line of Credit cannot be set up this way. Contact CEFCU for more information.
Checking Account Information Example
Check Number
The check number appears in the upper right corner of your check. It’s also the right group of numbers at the bottom of a check.
Routing Number
CEFCU’s routing number is always 271183701. You can find it in the numbers at the bottom of your check. It’s the left group of numbers.
Account Number
Your Checking account number is the middle group of numbers at the bottom of a check. Be sure to include the 01 when referring to the Checking account, avoiding spaces or hyphens, so the account number is a total of ten digits. In this example, the Checking account number is 0112345678 — with 01 indicating Checking, 1234567 indicating the base account number, and 8 indicating the Checking suffix.
